# What Local does for your Venue

> Local gives your Venue a digital space that only people physically inside it can enter — and a set of tools to engage them while they are there.

Local turns your Venue into a private digital space that opens only for people who are physically inside it. Guests who walk in can chat with each other, see what you are offering right now, and collect rewards. You get a direct line to them for as long as they are on the premises.

The constraint is the point. Because presence is verified, everyone in your Venue's space is actually there — not browsing from home, not a bot, not a competitor.

## What your guests get

When a guest's presence is verified, the app switches into your Venue and shows your branding, your content and your services.

## What you get

Everything you manage lives in the app, under the **Business** tab in the bottom navigation. You do not need to be inside your Venue to use it — admins can manage from anywhere. Only guests need to be physically present.

## How a guest gets in

A guest is let into your Venue's space only when Local detects they are physically there. That detection runs on one of three technologies, chosen for your Venue: Bluetooth beacons, your WiFi network, or a GPS geofence.

Until one of these is active, your Venue exists but nobody can enter it. Setting up presence is therefore the one step you cannot skip.
