# Claim your Venue in the app

> Download Local, sign in with the phone number or Google account you registered with, and you get the owner role.

Your Venue was created on the website. You take ownership of it by signing in to the mobile app with the credentials you registered.

## Download Local

Local is on the App Store and Google Play. It is the same app your guests use — there is no separate admin app.

## Sign in

Sign in with **either** the phone number or the Google account matching the email you registered with. Local matches it against the Venue record and grants you the **Owner** role.

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Phone number">
    Enter the phone number from signup. You will receive a one-time code by SMS.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Google">
    Use Google sign-in with the same email address you registered with. If you sign in with a different Google account, the match fails and you get an ordinary guest account instead.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

<Warning>
  If neither matches, you will be signed in as a regular guest with no admin access, and because your Venue has no presence gate yet you will land on the lobby screen with nothing to do. Sign out and try the other method, or contact support.
</Warning>

## Confirm you have owner access

Open the **Profile** tab. Under your name you should see an **Owner** badge.

You should also see a **Business** tab in the bottom navigation, which guests do not have.

## What you can now do from anywhere

Admins are not subject to presence verification. You can manage your Venue from home, from another city, at any hour:

* Edit your Venue name, logo, cover and category
* Switch services on and off
* Build your menu, draft content, create coupons
* Read feedback and reports
* Create and manage rooms

Guests still need to be physically inside to enter.

## The bottom navigation

Five tabs, left to right:

| Tab | What it is |
| - | - |
| **Local** | Your Venue home — branding, services, and the link into Business Tools |
| **Chats** | Public rooms and private conversations; where you create rooms |
| **Users** | Everyone currently in the Venue |
| **Business** | Business Tools — loyalty, coupons, content, operations, analytics |
| **Profile** | Your own account and preferences |

## Adding your team

Additional people are added by the Local support team, not by you. Contact support with who you want added, the Venue, and which of the three roles they should have.

| Role | Give it to |
| - | - |
| **Staff** | Front-of-house. Can message guests, post announcements and receive alerts — but cannot open Business Tools or gift coupons. |
| **Admin** | Your manager. Everything operational: menu, content, coupons, settings, reports. |
| **Owner** | You. Adds to Admin the ability to manage who has access, plus billing. |

<Warning>
  Staff cannot gift coupons. If a server needs to reward a guest at the table, that person needs **Admin**, not Staff.
